The Women and Child Development Department, in collaboration with SHSRC-Kerala, is conducting a study to assess the impact of the Poshaka Balyam scheme. This initiative provides milk and eggs to children in Anganwadis, aiming to improve their nutrition and overall well-being. The research will help to evaluate the scheme’s effectiveness and guide to find out future improvements.

Assessment of the impact of “Poshaka Balyam” on child under nutrition


The primary objective of this study is to evaluate whether the “Nutritious Childhood” (or “Poshaka Balyam”) scheme, launched in 2022, has contributed to a reduction in the prevalence of stunting, wasting, and underweight conditions among Anganwadi child beneficiaries in Kerala, India.
