Preference for private health care facilities for institutional delivery in Kerala-an exploration
This study aimed to identify the determinants influencing the preference for either the public or the private sector for institutional deliveries in Kerala. It also sought to explore the perspectives and experiences of stakeholders (including key informants in the public sector such as RCH officers, gynaecologists, staff nurses, Junior Public Health Nurses, Junior Health Inspectors, Accredited Social Health Activists) and beneficiaries from both sectors regarding institutional deliveries.
The ASPIRE study- Antenatal Salivary Progesterone to detect Pre- term births and Improve Reproductive Endpoints: A prospective observational study.
A handful of studies have shown that there is an association between salivary hormone levels and preterm births. This study seeks to study the diagnostic validity of salivary hormones such as progesterone, estriol and cortisol as a biomarker for preterm births in terms of sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and likelihood ratios.
Assessment of the Impact of “Poshaka Balyam” on Child Undernutrition
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate whether the “Nutritious Childhood” (or “Poshaka Balyam”) scheme, launched in 2022, has contributed to a reduction in the prevalence of stunting, wasting, and underweight conditions among Anganwadi child beneficiaries in Kerala, India.
