Dr. V. Jithesh, Executive Director of SHSRC–Kerala and Steering Committee Member for the management of the National Organ Transplant Programme (NOTP), participated in the Steering Committee meeting of the Kerala State Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organization (K-SOTTO) held on 2 March 2026.

The meeting was convened to review the current status of fund utilization under the NOTP scheme and to discuss plans for the effective utilization of the remaining funds.

During the online meeting, the committee reviewed the fund position and expenditure incurred under the NOTP scheme for the Financial Year 2025–26. The members also discussed the activities undertaken under the scheme so far and deliberated on the proposed activities for utilizing the remaining funds, seeking approval and concurrence from the Steering Committee.

In addition, the committee members provided suggestions and guidance aimed at strengthening organ donation and transplantation activities across the State.
