The State Health Systems Resource Centre–Kerala (SHSRC-K), under the convenership of the Public Health Act Committee, conducted a committee meeting to revise the Draft Kerala Public Health Act Rules on 18th November at SHSRC-Kerala, Hall 1. The meeting focused on incorporating the suggestions provided by the Additional Chief Secretary (Health). The earlier draft had also received comments from the Law Department, recommending further modifications. Based on these directions, SHSRC-K organized the meeting to update the rules accordingly. The revised draft, prepared collaboratively by the committee members and Law Department officials, will be forwarded to the Directorate of Health Services for vetting.

The workshop was led by Dr. V. Jithesh, Executive Director of SHSRC-Kerala. Public Health Act Committee members — Dr. Sreekanth P. S. (Medical Officer), Dr. Subhash M. (Medical Officer), Adarsh V. (Health Inspector), Solymon S. (Health Inspector), Sreelatha J. (Junior Superintendent, DHS Office), and Raju P. K. (Technical Assistant Grade I, Retired)—participated in the meeting. Law Department officials, including D. Reena (Joint Secretary, Law Department), Manoj M. P. (Law Officer, Directorate of Health Services), and Anu Krishna (Section Officer, Law Department), were also present.

The SHSRC-Kerala team—Dr. Jathavedus Mohanlal (Assistant Director), Dr. Parvathy Thampi S. (Research Officer), and Research Assistants Dr. Swetha Ashok and Angelina Roy also took part in the workshop.
